Top Nigerian Artistes Whose Early Singles Blew Them

Some artistes in the industry had to try and try before they eventually get it right while some made their debut like they knew every trick t it.

It is quite difficult to debut in the Nigerian Music industry with a fire jam, and even if you did, most artistes fail to cope with the expectations afterwards just like artistes like SkyB, ChuddyK and many others.

Well, Outside talent and probably luck, consistency has become a difficult thing in the industry as the Genre trend keeps revoluting.

We’d be looking at Artistes who came in with a bomb and are still at the top……

  1. Davido – Dami Duro – 

    In 2012, Davido stormed the music business with Hit track “Dami Duro” from the album ‘Omo Baba Olowo’  This song was literary everywhere, TVs, Radio stations, Club houses, everywhere.

2. Olamide – Eni Duro

Baddo Sneh was a burning view and still is. His Debut album harboured many hit Jams, nobody could have stopped his shine. In 2011, the Rapsody album was released, it had other unforgettable songs like ‘Boys are not smiling’

 

3. D’Banj – Tongolo

You ever wondered what was with the slang ‘Koko’ ? The koko was on everybody’s lips back then in 2006. Everybody knew he was going to be in the industry for a very long time after the release of this song.

4. 2Baba – African Queen

This song off the ‘Face 2 Face’ album of 2004 is still being played not only within the country but in the whole world. This single got him a lot of Awards and today, 2Baba is a living legend.

 

5. Wizkid – Holla At Ur Boy

Holla at Your Boy” is a song by Nigerian Afrobeat recording artist Wizkid. It was officially released on January 2, 2010. The song was produced by DJ Klem (Knighthouse) and Vebee. It is the first single from his debut album, Superstar (2011). Wizkid is arguably the most reputable Nigerian artiste of all Time, well maybe after Fela Kuti.
